Passionate is a dark, but bright pink shade that can be quite intimidating upon first glance. This is one I wanted for a while, but I only recently got up the courage to actually get it. I read several reviews before purchasing Passionate and many complaints were about the color pay-off. I personally did not have any trouble with it, but that could also be attributed to my fair skin. In my opinion, I don’t think those of you with fair skin will have any trouble getting this one to show up, providing you use a good primer. If you have a darker complexion, it may not be as easy and you could even try layering it over one of MAC’s paint pots (like Constructivist for example).

What can I use as a highligter if I don’t have orb?
macshadowcombos
Thanks, Linda! If you don’t have Orb, you can use any other highlighter that is similar to your skintone. Orb is one I liked using with Passionate as it’s like Vanilla but with more of a pink base to it. Any other highlighter should work just as well

Oh and I forgot to tell you that these combos are amazing!!! 😉

Yes, the two are VERY similar.

Thanks for the quick reply! I’ve just found your page today, and it’s fantastic! I’ve got a lot of MAC eyeshadows and love to find new combinations. I always try to take pics of any new combinations that I’ve tried. Will definitely follow your site!
Kristina
What a creazy colour, but you can work magic with it!
P.S. i have seen all of combos you have made, but i decided to start to comment as from today, just that you would know what a excellent gift you have and you would just keep doing that and share with us also!
MAC should be very thankful to you 😛

Amazing and beautiful as always.
In look #2 what could I use to substitute Passionate? I don’t have it. I thought it would be too much for my light cool toned skin. Thanks!

Hi Karah!
I completely understand; Passionate is definitely not an easy eyeshadow to wear (it scared me a LOT when I first got it!). I would suggest something like like Da Bling or Swish. They would be beautiful in its place.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the compliments!

ooh I like “Follow Your Fancy” pigment

I recently wore look #6 with a gray top, and added just a touch of Copperplate in the outer V. Loved how well it all came together! 😀
