Finish: Satin / Rosy pink with subtle shimmer
Girlie is a light mauve-pink shade and in my opinion, doesn’t get enough love. It could be attributed to the Satin finish, or the fact that this is such a light shade. I found it to be highly pigmented, easy to work with and I especially love using it in the crease to warm up a look. Many of MAC’s pinks are similar in some ways, but Girlie is truly like none of the other pink shades. Mauve is one of my most favorite tones of pink – in fact, my kitchen is painted mauve, so I don’t know why I didn’t get this one sooner. Ha! I don’t like Trax one bit, but Girlie did make me love Trax a little bit more. In love with this one!

Your right about Trax. I think from your picture Girlie makes Trax look a little softer. How do you like Sketch and Nehru by now? They both look like they could look almost muddy looking with certain colors or hard to blend. I could be wrong. Probably I am! LOL! They’re not really my type of colors. Do you think Girlie would be nice with Beautiful Iris? Love B.I! I don’t have Handwritten for look #3. What would be another color I could use?

Well, Sketch was one of my first purchases when I started getting into MAC and I swapped it away because I HATED it. I recently bought it again and am starting to warm up to it. The key with Sketch is to apply it with a fluffy brush and use less than more. It makes it easier to blend away. If you apply too much, it’s a bear to blend!
I do like Nehru, but it’s really just another black shade to me. I much prefer Typographic – easier to work with and a softer effect.
I really think Girlie would be beautiful with Beautiful Iris! I don’t use B.I. enough because it’s so sheer on me. I’ll have to keep it in mind for a future Spotlight.
Hmmm, if you don’t have Handwritten, you could use something like Brown Down, Swiss Chocolate, Mystery, Espresso – any deep brown will work there.

You do look beautiful in B.I.! Like you tell us ladies pack it on, or it may look better on your lid than crease area. I couldn’t let that one go by. LOL!
Also Lovely Lily pigment is nice, but another one you have to pack on. Those looks that you did for Vibrant Grape- using B.I and Lovely Lily where beautiful! Maybe someday in the future you could do Spotlight’s for MAC pigments.

Haha! Yes! Pack it on! Lovely Lily is a dupe for Beautiful Iris and I actually like it a lot more than B.I. – I just feel the pigmentation is greater. But at any rate, they’re both beautiful shades!
It’s so funny you said that! I am planning on a MAC Pigment Directory at some point after I finish with MAC’s permanent collection (getting close!). Great minds think alike! 😉

OOHH Did #3 today to go out for dinner, it came out so pretty, I wasn’t too sure about Girle because its so lite, but used TF primer under it and I love the look. used Nars G-spot on cheeks and Mac Naked Paris on the lips. Very happy-thanks Z

Hi again-for tonight I did look 9-very similar to look 3 but a bit more dramatic-I love it also! Used Mac Afterdusk blush with a little Mineralize northern light high on cheekbones and used Mac Syrup lipstick with a little clear gloss over. Hubby thinks I look great!

I have not tried any of your combos as of yet. I just got this shadow the other day with a few others when my hubby gave me a few surprise gift cards. Yesterday was MAC, today was Ulta, tomorrow Burlington (purse shopping)!! I guess the first thing I should do is go thru my collection to see which ones I can actually recreate, lol or get inspired.
