Spotlight On: MAC Nocturnelle

Finish: Frost / Pinked up chrome purple

Nocturnelle is one of the most beautiful purple eyeshadows (with Plum Dressing a close second, in my opinion!). It is easy to work with, easy to blend and even easier to pair with other colors from MAC’s vast collection. This is one I feel suites everyone because it doesn’t lean blue or red and depending on what you pair it with, it will mold itself to other eyeshadows easily. I especially like using Nocturnelle to create beautiful purple smokey eye looks but it also works well with silvers, pinks and some blues! This is a must-have purple if you love purples and can’t get enough color!

Look #1

MAC eyeshadows used:

  • Satin Taupe (inner half of lid)
  • Nocturnelle (outer half of lid)
  • Creme de Violet (crease)
  • Blanc Type (blend)

  1. Wow I love Look 4! You are so amazing at applying liquid eyeliner and false lashes. Come to California and do my makeup? Lol 🙂

  2. I was looking amazing in look 2 today but I put Quarry in the crease instead of Purple Haze. Gorgeous!!!! Thank you for all these wonderful looks and all your hard work you put into your website for us! 🙂

  3. I tried doing #9 today. It didn’t work out to well. I have a major issue with purples. Everytime I put them on my eyes, all the purples look the same. Like you can’t even tell I have 4 colors on plus blanc.. lol I really have to figure something out bc the last time I tried a purple look, same thing happened. All the colors look the same shade on me so I look like I just got a big blob of the same prpl on.
