No, Plum Dressing is MUCH darker and much more red than Star Violet. Star Violet is almost an opaque color – a very light mauve purple.

Love plum dressing! Definitely love all the color combos you have here! Shimmermoss was one of my first MAC colors and I never thought of putting it with plumdressing. Genius! I love hepcat as well. I’d describe it as plum dressing and stars and rockets made a baby. Very pretty!
