Spotlight On: MAC Plum Dressing

Finish: Veluxe Pearl / Pinky-plum with metal

Known Dupes: Hepcat

Plum Dressing is a purple pink shade and is comparable to Hepcat. I prefer this one over Hepcat personally, but that’s just me! This shade is the perfect contrast to blue, green, hazel and brown eyes. Each time I wear it I get asked what its name is – it is just stunning in person. The formula is easy to apply, easy to blend and provides the ideal amount of pigmentation you want in an eyeshadow. Don’t be afraid of Plum Dressing – embrace it (you’ll be glad you did)!

  1. Cranberry looks good with any eye color. 🙂 By the way, I’m loving looks 1, 2, 4, and 5. I’ve tried them and they bring out my brown eyes perfectly. Your site’s really helpful, Zabrena. Good job! 🙂

  2. I am loving 4 and 7. It it really awesome that you offer this service. I have been hearing alot about plum dressing on youtube for brown eyes, excited for my next shopping trip!

Yes! Hepcat from what I hear although I haven’t had the opportunity to compare them myself yet. I still need to get that one! 🙂

  3. Love plum dressing! Definitely love all the color combos you have here! Shimmermoss was one of my first MAC colors and I never thought of putting it with plumdressing. Genius! I love hepcat as well. I’d describe it as plum dressing and stars and rockets made a baby. Very pretty!

    1. Ouu! I love both Plum Dressing and Stars ‘N Rockets so I just KNOW I’d love Hepcat! 🙂
It’s one of the next ones on my eyeshadow shopping list!

  4. After two years of hearing about this color in 2013, I finally got it a few days ago. It was time to add this beautiful purple to my collection!!!!
