Spotlight On: MAC Aquadisiac

Finish: Lustre / Deep sea turquoise

Known Dupes: UD Minx

Aquadisiac is a light blue shade with a touch of glitter in the formula. This is highly pigmented and applies to the lid as it appears in the pan. If you have blue eyes, don’t be afraid of trying this one. I was hesitant to try it, but found that when it’s paired with the right colors, in the right arrangements, it only makes blue eyes more noticeable. This is the ideal shade of blue for a look you might want to add blue to, but don’t want it to be too overpowering. What I like most about this shade is how it creates the perfect gradient transition. An example of this is the combo with Stars ‘N Rockets – notice how it goes from purple to a green and then a blue. A very intriguing look!

Look #1

MAC eyeshadows used:

  • Satin Taupe (on lid, below crease)
  • Aquadisiac (crease)
  • Deep Truth (outer half of lower lashline and upper lashline)
  • Shimmermoss (inner half of lower lashline)
  • Vanilla (blend)

Wow I really like look 5. This colour deserves a place on my wish list. Thank you for your creativity!

  2. Hi Zabrena! I’m thinking of buying my first blue eyeshadows. If you had to choose, which would be your 5 top blue picks for brown eyes? Also, is Winkle similar to the Cornflower pigment? Thank you in advance!

    1. Hi Giordana!
Yes, Winkle is very similar to Cornflower pigment – Cornflower does pull more purple, but in my opinion you don’t need both (unless you just really love blues and must have them all – then, I get it! ;)) I would recommend Aquadisiac, Tilt, Deep Truth, Freshwater and Contrast. That would give you a really great mix of shades from the light, medium and darker spectrums (and they are all FABULOUS for brown eyes!).

  3. hello, in look #5 instead of dynamo, which other eyeshadow can I use for the crease?? thank you

  4. In your description of the shade you mention a combo with Stars ‘N Rockets. I’d love to see that or know the placement! Thanks! =)

    1. Whoops! I will need to redo that one! 😉
It was Aquadisiac on the inner half of the lid, Stars N Rockets on the outer half of the lid and Plumage in the crease! 😀

  5. Hi Zabrena, I’m wanting to buy a mix of blue, purple and green eyeshadows but I’m wondering what you would recommend for dark green/blue eyes? I’m a bit out of my depth :s

  6. These are amazing. Wow.
I use this color with gold and the sea foam paint pot and the pressed pigment glitter in the light blue one and vapor for highlight with white waterline on bottom
