Finish: Veluxe Pearl / Muted yellow-gold
Gorgeous Gold is a shade whose name doesn’t exactly describe what color it truly is. While it is yellow in color, if you look closely it has a hint of green to the formula. Unfortunately I couldn’t get this green duochrome to show in the swatch, but you can see it in some of the below combos. This small hint of green makes it ideal for pairing with many greens from MAC’s array of colors. It also creates a stunning presence when paired with pinks and purples with a yellow base. The consistency of Gorgeous Gold is a little thinner than Goldmine and I find you have to apply a couple layers to build the color. Overall, I find this to be a pleasing shade and the perfect pop of color to your green eyeshadow looks.

This looks way yellower (if that’s a word) on your post than in real life. Mine looks almost like a cool gold (if that exists). Very weird. I do like it for looks with green eyeshadows. I used it with some blues (freshwater, deep truth, and contrast) today, and it turned out superbly! Thanks so much for your awesome work on these posts! I definitely want to try look #4 and 5.

For Look #9 is there a MAC dupe for LORAC Green Room?

I am in love with Gorgeous Gold but it doesn’t look right on me or maybe I just haven’t found the right combo for it. I’m going to try looks 7 and 9.
I am looking for a mustard yellow color preferably from MAC, suggestions?

Hmmm, that’s a tough one. MAC had a limited edition shade called Outre that fits the mustard yellow description but I don’t know how easy/hard it is to find now. One of their pro eyeshadows is worth looking at; Uninterrupted. That’s a kind of mustard yellow neutral 🙂

Thank you Zabrena, I’ll have to look into that

Picked up Uninterrupted a few days along with some other goodies but go figure go into MAC for one thing and come out with several. Super excited to start using it! Thank you for the suggestion.

You are most welcome! I LOVE that shade!
