Spotlight On: MAC Humid

Finish: Frost / Intense green with shimmer

Humid is a deep, true green that translates to the lid exactly as it appears in the pan. I love Humid for its richness and how easy it is to apply, despite its deceptive Frost finish. Easily paired with blues, greens, pinks, purples and browns, it is highly versatile and can add a pop of color or make any eye more noticeable. This is definitely a staple in my green eyeshadow collection.

Look #1

MAC eyeshadows used:

  • Humid (on lid, below crease)
  • Bitter (crease)
  • Vanilla (blend)

  1. 1, 2, 6, 7 are my absolute favorites! I’m happy you dedicated a spotlight post to Humid as it should be in everyone’s beauty arsenal!

  2. Perfect timing for this post! I get to go to a MAC counter on Wednesday when I’m near Halifax and I was thinking about picking this shadow up (I had it narrowed down to 5 and I’m getting 2). You helped me make my decision. It’s a beautiful green!

  3. I’m so glad you posted some looks for Humid. I got it back in the summer at a CCO. I’m not all that into greens and have more than I need but the price was hard to pass up and I know it’s very highly rated at MUA. I really love it though I never wear it to work (well, not yet!). The first 2 looks and the last one are ones I’ll certainly be trying out (I don’t have Botanical but do have Mulch, which I think you’ve said is a reasonable dupe).

  4. Just did #8-came out really nice, (also don’t have Wedge, used Haux instead) did not use on lower lash line, instead used Mac’s tarnished pencil. Going to wear Syrup on the lips.

  5. On look #2 I put my own twist on it because I do not have Electra. I tried Humid on the inner and outer third of my lower eye lid with Tilt in the center. These two blend soooo pretty together. Blended with Vanilla. I lined the bottom the same way. Loved it!!!

  6. I’m trying to decide between Humid and UD Mildew. Do you think they’re different enough to get both? Right now the only other greens I have are Kelly and Bottle Green (I love that look you did with Omega). =)

    1. Hi Nikki!
Yes! Mildew is lighter in comparison to Humid, which is a darker green on the lid.
I also feel like Mildew has a little more yellow in it compared to Humid. And Mildew isn’t like Kelly or Bottle Green, so you’re safe! 😉
      (I love that B.G./Omega look!!)

  7. I have a question… For the eyeshadow you have listed for each look, are they listed in order of which color to apply first? Is there an unspoken rule that I am missing? Just wondering…

  8. I would LOVE to see a spotlight or a couple looks with bio green. I searchd it yesterday and I LOVE the color but I am too chicken to break It out on my own… I need help! 🙂

  9. I did look #2 today, with Prose and Fancy (a LE teal color) in place of Shimmermoss, with UD’s Naked in the crease. It turned out beautifully with a great color gradient across the lid. Thanks!
