Finish: Matte / Intense reddish brown
Embark is a deep neutral shade that appears purple in the pan. It has a rich application and is ideal for deepening the crease and adding definition to your looks. Highly versatile, it can be paired with colors from all over the spectrum including browns, pinks, purples and grays. I also really enjoy using Embark as a liner as it really brings out the color in blue and green eyes.

I love Embark so much! It is one of my all time favorites. I use it all the time as eye-liner. It really does bring out the blue/green in my eyes.

Do you have any tips on how you apply your false lashes SO perfectly every time?!? Love this post btw I was looking forward to seeing more dark browns
macshadowcombos
Hi Heather!
Thanks! π
I did a video a little while back on how to apply false lashes – if you look under the “Video Tutorials” category of the blog, you should see it there. Hopefully that will help give you some tips! It really all comes down to the glue and the brand of eyelashes you use. I use Red Cherry false lashes (a link is on the side of the blog where you can get them for $2 a pair – cheap for such great quality!) and Duo eyelash adhesive in dark tone (so it blends into my eyeliner). π

I just recently purchased Embark and wow, I love it! I have been wearing Charcoal Brown but Embark really stands out and makes a difference.

You got that right, Eileen! It does help to add that extra ‘oomph’ to your look π

I just found your site tonight and do I ever consider myself having “hit the Mother Lode” ! Your work here (as well as your contributors) is just phenomenal. I have not a clue how to put a look together and I have all these MAC shades- don’t know what in the heck to do with them so I started to purchase coordinating palettes (Chanel, Laura Mercier, Estee Lauder- anything that was already combined well). You seem like a lifesaver and these photos of your looks (as well as your gorgeous face) are wonderful. I hope you continue- I will be here daily !! Many thanks, Beth in Pgh xo π
