Spotlight On: MAC Print

Finish: Satin / Muted grey with shimmer

Print is best described as a dark grey – almost black shade. This applies matte and creates an effortless smokey eye. If you find Carbon to be too dark and too messy, Print is a great alternative. The only thing I don’t like about Print is its tendency to “move” and it does tend to fade easily. If I wear this during the day, by the end I have a little bit of it on the inner corners of my eyes, which is a little annoying and it does lose its intensity. However, if I apply it for an evening look I find it doesn’t do either of those things. Despite its pros and cons, overall, I do love Print and believe it is a must-have for your darker palette.

  1. I really love looks 2, 3 and 3 (I guess you meant 4?) and now, I’m wanting to rush out to get both Print and Silver Ring! You have to stop tempting me so much with more new shadows! Beautiful work, as always, Zabrena!

  2. Zabrena, reading your description of Print as a lighter and “friendlier” alternative to Carbon, I’m wondering if I could use Typographic, applied lightly, in place of Print. Honestly, it’s getting to the point where I am running out of room for all my shadows and being able to “dupe” some is helpful (and it doesn’t help that I’ve recently fallen in love with Tarina Tarantino’s shadow palettes and Stila single shadows…oh, and TheBalm – so it’s not just MAC taking up all the space!!!)

      Yes, gorgeous combos!
Last Call is really just so unique to its own self; the closest you could come to it in MAC’s collection would be Plum Dressing in my opinion. 🙂
