Spotlight On: Urban Decay Freelove

I purchased Freelove simply because I had never seen another shade exactly like it – either in MAC’s collection or elsewhere. Once I got it and started wearing it, I knew I’d made a dynamite decision! If you love orange shades and can wear them well, this is definitely one you must try. I would best describe it as more of a coral orange than some of the more vibrant oranges in MAC’s collection. Freelove has a shimmer consistency, but no glitter. It applies smoothly, easily, has great pigmentation and blends away just as easily. I know I will be adding more combos onto this post in the future. On the lid or in the crease, this truly makes my eyes stand out!

Look #1

UD eyeshadows used:

  • Stalker (on lid, below crease)
  • Freelove (crease)
  • MAC Blanc Type (blend)

  1. I also have free love but wasn’t sure how to use it but also love it when I saw it tried look 6 and really made my blue eyes stand out. Can’t wait to see some more looks using free love Thanks

  2. Freelove is my favorite UD shadow. I use it with X on the lid, either X in the inner corner and Freelove on the outer, or I’ll do Freelove on the inner and out lid with X in the center. Then pop Rockstar in the crease, blend it out, and do a neutral highlight of your choice (I like Orb). It is great on blue eyes.

I just bought this on a whim because I loved the color. I have dark brown eyes and I’m not sure what to put with it!! Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch

    1. Purples! Or mauve-type shades too, but it looks amazing with purples and that color combo would be fantastic on your brown eyes! Try it with pinks too – something like Da Bling on the lid with Freelove in the crease or combine Freelove with the Naked3 palette, if you have it! 😉
