Finish: Satin / Pinkish-plum
When it comes to red lipsticks (yes, I’m considering this a red lipstick), I’m typically so skeptical of what it’s going to look like once applied; am I going to look like the Walking Dead? A vampire perhaps? Haha! Captive gave me those same feelings until I applied it and . . . WOW! I was instantly sold. If you look closely at this lipstick in the tube, it has mauve tones to it, which is probably what makes me love this one even more. I didn’t find it to compete against my complexion or be “too bold”. I wore this out one evening for date night and received a lot of compliments, which is highly unusual. LOL Usually it’s on my eyes, so it was weird receiving them for the lips! Ha! That just sealed my love for Captive even more. It has a creamy application, doesn’t bleed outside the lips and can be applied straight from the tube very easily. I’m in LOVE! Do you have or have you tried Captive?
