Look & Review: Stila’s In The Garden Palette

stila_garden2ย Wowee! A palette with color! YESSSS! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love the mixture of colors and neutrals in this beautiful palette from Stila. I hadn’t tried any of Stila’s eyeshadows before this post and I am highly impressed with them! If you are impressed by MAC, wait until you try these! They apply to the lid effortlessly and blend away just as easily. No need to continuously go back over a color in the crease to get it to blend; one touch of the brush and DONE!

Top Row (L to R) Chinois, Breeze, Bark, Freesia, Rosette
Bottom Row (L to R) Nectar, Honey, Sage, Moss, Juniper

Dupe-wise, this is going to be one of those palettes that is harder to dupe, probably not so much for the neutrals, well, er, scratch that. Even for the neutrals. The only one I can see a clear cut dupe for is Nectar, which is a dead ringer for MAC’s Blanc Type and Urban Decay’s W.O.S.

Honey was another one I questioned in closeness to MAC Amber Lights, but it doesn’t pull that dark orange color.

Rosette reminds me of Urban Decay’s Fishnet or Last Call, but it’s still off in being a true match. As much as I’d like to compare the shades in this palette to ones in my current collection, I simply can’t. That’s a good thing and a bad thing, I’m sure. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Hi Tamara!
The full post of combinations is scheduled for this Sunday! ๐Ÿ˜‰
You’re welcome to check the ‘Coming Soon’ page at any time to see what’s scheduled! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Hi Z,
Gorgeous look! I may have to get this palette. After getting the Lorac Unzipped palette, and not really liking it, I thought I would stay away from palettes. It will be interesting when you get to the Unzipped palette, and what you think of it. I think the shades are too similar. Maybe it will work better with your warm undertones. It would be interesting to see a look with Freesia. You may have to put in your brown contacts though for optimum affect with the color. You definitely are a master with eyeshadows! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Aww thanks K! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I am definitely intrigued by the Unzipped palette, but you’re right!
I could see the eyeshadows all looking very similar as they look so similar in the palette!
I think you’d really enjoy this In the Garden palette; it has a lot of unique colors that are a dream to work with.
I’m so excited to try the others in this series!
