What attracted me to theBalm’s Meet Matt(e) Nude palette? I think it was the alluring fact of an all-matte eyeshadow palette. Who agrees there aren’t enough of these on the market these days?! *sigh* theBalm certainly did not disappoint with this palette.
Not only is it the perfect size for sticking in your purse BUT the eyeshadows are a dreeeeeam to work with in terms of application, blending and pigmentation. My most favorite eyeshadow out of the entire palette is Matt Singh; it reminds me of a mixture between MAC’s Malt and Soft Brown (also two of my favorite colors!).
The only gripe I would have for this one is the lack of a good blending shade for us fair gals. I thought Matt Malloy was going to work but it turned out to be this stark white eyeshadow that highlighted more than it did blend. Ah well, despite that minor hiccup, if you’re looking for a great neutral palette with all matte finishes, Meet Matt(e) Nude is a great one to try!

Great Post, and I definetely agree with you, when it comes to matte shades, there aren’t much palettes out there (I have the ultra mats by sleek though, and I like it)
As you know, I am a massive The Balm Fan (at least for their eyeshadows and the Mary loumanizer) I own the Nude Tude Palette and the Shady Lady Vol. 2 🙂
And now my heart craves the Meet Matt(e) Palette 😛
Will you also do a dupe post on this palette? Or is it not very dupable in your opinion?
Zabrena
Ah! I have yet to see if I can get Sleek here; a couple ladies told me they don’t ship to the U.S., but I need to investigate! (I am impressed with their Storm palette!)
I am eyeing the Shady Lady palettes!
I would say this palette is VERY dupeable (extremely), and I’ll definitely do a post of dupes probably more towards the end of August. 😉
Julia
When it comes to English Brands I have an advantage, because England is “only” a two hour flight from Germany 🙂 And a lot of German online shops also have all the Sleek Palettes. I have a few: Au naturel, Ultra Mats V2, Oh so speacial and the Shangri la Respect 🙂 I like them, but I am still not sure what looks to create with them 🙁
Great! I will wait for the dupelist then, before rushing out and giving in to my hearts cravings 😛
Marlene
Hi Julia. I’m really interested in getting the brand sleek. Do you think we could get in touch?
Marlene
Julia my email address is mininiprincess@yahoo.com. thank you! 🙂

Julia, Stila has an all matte palette called “In the Know”. I almost got it a month or so back when the store was sold out of Rain in the single but had it in that palette. But I decided to wait til they restocked the single shadow. I’m at an age where I should be embracing matte shadows but I absolutely love shadows with a sheen and actually find the look less aging on me that many matte shadows, which can look very dry.

I MUST get this palette! With my hooded eyes, I’ve found matte shadows to work AND look best on me.
Too bad I’m in between jobs at the moment. Well, this palette will be going on my long list of things to get when I’m ‘back in business’. lol
Thanks Z! 🙂
Zabrena
Sending prayers your way for a speeeeedy comeback! 😀
Melanie
Zabrena,
Did you ever do a list of dupes for this palette?
Thanks
Melanie
