The LORAC Unzipped Palette is an utterly fabulous find for those who have been longing for a neutral palette with quality pigmentation.
There was not one eyeshadow within this palette that I found difficult to work with, didn’t show well on the lid or was packed so heavily with glitter I looked like a showgirl. LOL In all seriousness, this is everything I have ever wanted in a palette! The blending shade included (Undercover) works beautifully with every color in the palette, even the browns! That’s extremely rare to find!
Within the Unzipped palette, you’ll find 6 shimmer eyeshadows and 4 matte eyeshadows:
- Undercover = Matte
- Unbelievable = Shimmer
- Unattainable = Shimmer
- Unconditional = Matte
- Unbridled = Matte
- Undiscovered = Shimmer
- Unreal = Shimmer
- Uncensored = Shimmer
- Unspoken = Matte
- Untamed = Shimmer
Compared to eyeshadows within my present collection and out of all the eyeshadows within this palette, my most favorites are Unconditional and Untamed. I feel these two are the most unique out of the entire palette. Unconditional is best described as an even MORE buttery version of MAC’s Haux, but with more pink tones to it. Untamed reminds me of what you might get if you were to mix MAC’s Carbonized with Glamour Check!; it has a brown, red-purple mixture that is jaw dropping. With the exception of those two and possibly Unbridled, the remaining eyeshadows are easily dupeable with shades from Urban Decay and MAC.

Eyeshadows used:
- Unreal and Unbelievable (layered over one another on the inner half of lid)
- Untamed and Unbridled (layered over one another on the outer half of lid)
- Uncensored (crease)
- MAC Blanc Type (blend) – could also use Undercover here

This looks tempting but I think I’m going to wait on it til I’ve been able to check out the 2 LE palettes I’m so eager to have. If the Dior one (Bonne Etoile) turns out to be a dud (fat chance!), I may spring for this Lorac palette though a lot of the shadows, as you say, are pretty dupe-able. I don’t own a single thing from Lorac so this might end up being my first purchase.

I haven’t purchased a Dior shadow in years but I think their 5-pans are sort of like Chanel’s quads – can be great or can be not so great and they’re awfully pricey. But the Bonne Etoile one got a great review at Temptalia and the colours look so absolutely desirable. But I’ll have to see what it’s like when it finally arrives in-store (I’m still waiting!)

Hmm! I personally prefer the Unzipped myself out of the two but you would be able to get more looks out of the Pro palette because there’s a wider assortment of eyeshadows and finishes. Which post did you like the combos better in? That might make it a little easier! 🙂

Have you done a dupe list for this palette? Every time I go to buy it I feel like I have such similar shades that I cant justify it (oh, really…watch me)
But, really I have all three UD Naked palettes and I feel like they are so similar. Would consider looking into dupes?

I have to admit, I was unsure about this palette AT FIRST, but NOW…WOW! This is my go-to palette almost every day!The colors are soooo gorgeous and wearable, and it’s great when I am in a hurry (and feeling a little lazy hahaha). Love it!

Really creamy colors (me like:)). Favorite so far is Unbelievable and Untamed. Look gorgeous together.
Only negative is the naming of the shadows. Difficult to remember them.

I just bought the Unzipped palette this weekend using my 20% off entire purchase at Ulta! I snagged a couple of their It Cosmetics Luxe brushes too! Anyway, I am brand new here (have watched you for ages, but just got a membership). I am so excited to see all of these looks and can’t wait to play with my new palette. PS..I bought it instead of Naked 3, how do you feel they compare?

Compared to Naked3, I’d say this palette is much easier for everyday wear and every eyeshadow in it has a dreamy formula. Whereas, some of the eyeshadows in Naked3 can be enough to drive you batty with fallout. LOL So you made an excellent choice!
