Several months ago, I purchased my very first round of Inglot eyeshadows and unfortunately, do to my eyeshadow ADD (yes, it’s real!), I put them into the makeup cabinet and didn’t remember them until I cleaned it out recently. However, now they are forefront in my mind and this is the first of many I want to create with them. For today’s look, I chose #s: 460, 423 and 361

The result of combining all three of these colors creates a plum smokey eye with a tiny amount of pink mixed in (it’s so light in the look, which I love!). This combo will make every eye color stand out and if you have these Inglot shades, you must combine them! I didn’t think there would be enough contrast between 460 and 423, but I was pleasantly surprised!
If I were going to dupe these colors with other brands, it’d be difficult to do, as they are so unique in their coloring. #361 would be closest to MAC’s Free to Be, but a little lighter. The other two, I’m not so sure; if you have dupes in mind for #460 and #423, please feel free to share them below!

Love you and your work but one thing mystifies me!
Why does the finish of ALL your shadows loo almost the same whatever the colรดur and whether matte or , shimmer. glitter shows up a bit more…but other than that all your shadows are looking the same……apart from the shade.
Is it due to the computer, and/or lighting? Also your shadows are placed in the same are of the eye every time going from light to dark at the outer V.
Tom not being overly critical just asking , because the same shadows don hav the same finish on me….any ideas?
Thanks for all your hard work.
Love Lorna
PS I’m the lady who talked about Stamford with you on Skype.

Hi Lorna! ๐
I don’t see the eyeshadows as looking all the same, so I’m not sure why you say that. If an eyeshadow is a glitter bomb on me, it generally shows that way on camera as well. I just typically don’t go for them unless it’s a Spotlight post where I’m creating looks with it, and I need to wear it despite my personal preference.
So I’m perplexed as to why you think that. I don’t edit any of the actual makeup in any of my pictures, if that’s what you might be questioning. ๐ Sometimes an eyeshadow doesn’t translate the same say in the way it appears in a swatch to my lids; if you look closely at the middle shade in the swatch and how it’s applied to my lid on the outer half, it does lose some of the sheen. Not much, but a little. Maybe that’s what you’re seeing?
As for the placement, I quite often do varying placements other than the one seen here. The one shown here is a universal placement that most every eye shape can wear, which is why I do it more often than others. ๐
Thanks for your support ๐

You must check your eyesight lady see if you are color blind. They are not the same at all!!!! What nasty comments. This website is one of the best I have seen to combine eyeshadows and Zยดs attitude is awesome. If you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything!!

Beautiful look Z!
I don’t think your work looks the same at all! You’ve done tutorials, I believe, on different placement for e/s. I know you sent all of us members, info on e/s placement. One look that is very different is the Stila In The Garden palette green look that you did. Many people like and wear their e/s light on the inner lid, a middle shade in the outer lid, then a darker shade in the outer v. As you said it’s a universal placement. Also, we all have different coloring, so the e/s are going to look different sometimes. Also, you have to factor in if you used a primer and how much e/s you place on you lids. Great job Z! ๐
Zabrena
Thank you, K!
I appreciate you saying that! ๐
I agree that eyeshadows do look different from one person to the next based on so many factors, you make excellent points. I often see looks done on ladies with darker complexions and by the time I try it I look like I was socked in the eye ๐ But they’re so pretty on them!

Hi, Z:
I stumbled upon Inglot and did extensive research as to dupes. 423 is = to UD Hustle/Busted & Mac’s Brown Down. 355 = Blanc Type, 395= Nylon, 350=Orb, 402=UD YDK, AMC153=UD Verve, 397=Jest, 390=Bisque, 358 = Omega (but a bit darker), 154=All That Glitters/UD Sidecar, 461=Soba (but greyer), 405=Amber Lights, 337=Kid, 357= Wedge, 344=UD Tease/Malt, 360=Charcoal Brown, 327=Espresso, 378=Swiss Chocolate.
While I’m at it, I may as well tell you some Inglot dupes for LE colors that I bought (and LOVE) from Inglot. 376=Scene, 434=Print, 444=Clarity, 348=Copperplate
Zabrena
Lovely! Thank you for taking the time to add those, Michelle! I, and I know many others, greatly appreciate it! ๐
Oh! And question for you! On #348 that compares to Copperplate; does it apply easier than MAC’s version? I love Copperplate’s color but it’s always so splotchy for me. ๐
Michelle Gallina
Hi, Z:
I apologize for the delay, I was in Venice for a few days. (I know, poor me!) I haven’t used Copperplate so I cannot compare the too.
On a completely side note, Kiko Cosmetics in Italy is AMAZING. They are “Mac” for Italians at 1/3 the price. Pigmentation is fantastic. So if you stumble upon the brand, go for it. You will not be disappointed. Only bummer is they only have number system too. What is that all about?
Zabrena
LOL! Agghh! Jelllll-ous! Haha! Hope you had a fabulous time! ๐
Mental note made on Kiko – thanks!
I will never understand the darn numbering system. I can barely remember my own phone number, let alone the number of an eyeshadow. LOL! ๐
Mariella
I don’t know MAC Clarity but I have both Inglot 444 and MAC Smoke & Diamonds and 444 is virtually identical to S&D (which is a shadow a lot people really want).
Michelle Gallina
I have two dupes for Smoke & Diamonds (UD Pistol & MUG Moondust) and I find that Inglot 444 is darker and has a tad more grey/blue than the dupes and is slightly darker. But do agree, it would be a great dupe for S&D–as that’s so hard to find.

Ok! I have to admit it. I am an Inglot addict. I have for palettes, four different foundations, blushes, concealer, color corrector and six amaaaaaazing matte lipsticks. I absolutely looove this brand. BUT … I hate numbers instead of names!! I can’t remember even one of them!. I have a pencil brush and it is not as good, not at all, it hurts on my face! I love most of all now foundations smell!
Yes, I’m an addict. Can’t help it!!
Zabrena
LOL! I’m with you! I can’t STAND the number system! I can never remember them!
I just placed another Inglot order the other day *sigh* I must admit I am in love too!
Mariella
So, inquiring minds want to know – did you order 422 (or 419)? I won’t order Inglot online, partly because it is so hard to get a sense of the colours (even when blogs give pretty good swatches) and also because the Canadian stores aren’t really all that well set up for online or telephone orders. So I’ll wait til I’m next in Montreal (which may be a while because of some outright inflammatory and bigoted new “charter of values” they are trying to bring in, but I am rambling…)
Zabrena
422! And 407, 451, 444, 399, 420 and 17 ๐
I agree wholeheartedly. I would have loved to have gone in store; last time was such a blast.
Nearest one is 2 hours for me though – come to Tampa, Inglot!
I researched the heck out of the colors though so I think I’ll be happy. Here’s hoping!
Uh oh! What’s happening in Montreal?!
Mariella
You could look it up but basically the provincial government (like a state gov’t in the US) wants to pass a law prohibiting the wearing of any “overt” (whatever that means) religious garb or symbols in the workplace if it’s a public workplace. So a Sikh bus driver would not be able to wear his turban – it’s either give up the turban or give up your job. A Muslim doctor would not be allowed to wear her hijab; a Jewish public sector worker would not be able to wear his skull cap and so on. They claim it’s to remove all religious symbols but the reality of whom is truly being targeted by this “values charter” is pretty clear. It is so offensive. And yet, the huge, illuminated cross on the top of Mount Royal (public land) is going to be “exempt”. Honestly, I find this so offensive and what’s truly alarming is the racists and bigots and haters that it is exposing. It’s like Germany in 1930 all over again.
Zabrena
Ohh geeez, that’s awful! It appears nowhere is safe anymore ๐
Ugh. I can see why you’d want to avoid Montreal right now. Pardon my ignorance on the subject.
Mariella
Sigh….Inglot! How I wish I had an Inglot pusher, er, dealer,er STORE near me! I’d love to find an Inglot dupe for Trax if anyone can suggest one. 423 looks amazing; I have 422 which is totally different (you’d think with the numbers being close, the colours would be too) but it’s also an amazing colour – a bronzey golden-y brown that I just love. Perfect for this time of year.
Zabrena
LOL! Pusher, er dealer, er store! ๐ HAHA! Love it!
I’m sure they have one for Trax! If I see it, I’ll be sure to make a note of it for you!
Ahhh, I looked up 422 – WOWEE!
Mariella
Add a “zowie” to that “wowie”. It is a gorgeous colour and so pigmented. I recently got the new Dior palette for fall and it has a very similar colour in the middle. For the heck of it, I swatched them both, fully expecting the Dior one to be noticeably better but, in fact, the opposite was the case and Inglot blew the Dior out of the water! 419 is an amazing green – similar to Sumptuous Olive but, again, so superior. I’m not sure if you love greens since your eyes are blue/green but if you are ever in the market for a deep brown-toned green, try 419.
Michelle Gallina
I have been to Inglot twice to test out their purples and found no dupe for Trax (which is one of my favorites). I was really surprised that while they’ve plenty of colors, not much in the purple family. But since you’re looking for some options, here’s the non-dupes of purple that I got from them that are completely as lovely as Trax.
325, 439, and 14. I did a swatch on 445 and compared it next to Trax and it seems to be light with no gold at all. (I seem to remember, Z, you didn’t like the gold in Trax so maybe this one is a lovely option.)
I have hazel eyes and therefore am always looking for the perfect purples. The ones I grabbed from Inglot are amazing and while I haven’t used them yet I will be doing so soon.
Zabrena
Hmmm!! I like the sounds of the one you mentioned without the strong gold in Trax.
Thanks for adding these, Michelle!!
I’m expecting a new Inglot order today; I’ll do a post on it because for the life of me I couldn’t even begin to tell you which ones I ordered. Gah! LOL!
Michelle Gallina
I so know what you mean. My BFF got my Inglot dupes I ordered.
Elaine
Awesome! More Inglot tutorials please.

I loooove INGLOT! I purchased a 5 Freedom palette to start. I’d really like to buy EVERY SINGLE COLOR IN THE STORE! I also bought 1 pan in lipstick. *** sigh- it’s DREAMY! I just hopped the train with my daughter and ran into the store on 49th street. I’m going to have to make another visit this spring!
