The other day, theBalm Cosmetics was having a sitewide 50% off sale – well, you know I had to take advantage of that! I’ve been hearing good things from several of you about their BalmJovi Palette and I must say, the colors are B-E-A-utiful!
Seeing as this one literally just came in the mail yesterday, I haven’t had the opportunity to fully experience it, so I can’t give you an accurate rating of it yet. (I just couldn’t wait to create a look with it!) However, the eyeshadows I used to create today’s look are simply stunning. I am most impressed with the pigmentation in this palette so far. There is a tiny amount of fallout, so just remember to apply your foundation last 😉
Did you grab anything at theBalm’s recent sale?

I purchased the Balm Jovi palette from the sale too. I love this look, I’ll have to give it a try. I hope you’ll do more looks from this palette. I love that you get 3 different finishes of eyeshadows. Did you like the other products in the palette?
Zabrena
Definitely! More looks are in order! 😉
I haven’t tried the blush or the lipsticks in the palette yet, but I’m intrigued! I’ve never had a palette that offered them before.
Will be sure to let you know my thoughts in the full review post! 😉

Don’t you just get the biggest kick from the names? I think TheBalm is really witty with their palette and product names! They have BalmJovi at a drugstore near me but the colours I love best are all ones for which I already have dupes. I’d love to find The Balm and the Beautiful palette, though. The names in that one also make me smile! I didn’t know TheBalm was having a sitewide sale though I did hear afterward that the site crashed for a while but the company extended the sale which is pretty decent. I don’t even know if they deliver to Canada, to be honest.

The names are so doggone clever, you’re right! I remember you had mentioned this one and with their recent sale, I just couldn’t resist! Yeah! They had a heck of a time keeping up with all the traffic on the site; it was 50% off sitewide, so I’m sure they were slammed with orders too. I don’t know if they deliver to Canada either! I know they don’t ship internationally, but that’s about all I know. Ha!

The Balm is supposed to be on Hautelook.com tomorrow. Their products are usually 1/2 off.http://www.hautelook.com/content/39767

Thanks for the heads up!

Very pretty. Unfortunately a lot of dupes. I was looking this palette up earlier and found almost every e/s has a dupe. 🙁 Oh well! It will save me some money. Not trying to be pushy, but have you looked at UD’s Snare yet? I know you go to Ulta, Sephora, etc. all the time so I thought I would ask. 🙂
Zabrena
LOL! You’re not pushy!
I actually just placed an Ulta order the other day, and it was right before we had talked about Snare (darn!), so I didn’t get to include it in the last order. And it should be here today, too. But it’s on my list for the next order! 😉
Karah
No worries. 🙂 What else did you get you that you think might be interesting?

Oh! I forgot to tell you that I got this palette this morning. It was 50% off at HauteLook. lol! Definitely looking forward to your looks for this palette now. Can’t let a sale go by. 🙂
Zabrena
LOL! You are too much!! Ha! 😉

Well, it was mainly NYX as they were having a 40% off sale on their products and I’ve been wanting to add them to the site for a little while now. I ordered the Wicked Dreams palette, and the Natural and Smoked eyeshadow palettes. I also bought a small sample size of L’Oreal’s face primer to do a video comparison with a higher end face primer I recently purchased from Arbonne. 😀 Looking forward to that comparison!
