Face of the Day: Smokey Cranberry Eyes for Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Well, early Thanksgiving as I post this. I LOVE this time of year for so many reasons but probably the most notable reason being you can break out the cranberry colored eyeshadows and wear them loud and proud! Naturally I went all out in this look and created a sultry, smokey cranberry look with some brown and peach tones mixed in to warm up the look even more. Cranberry just makes me think of this time of year moreso than other colors. What colors do you think of this time of year?

      1. Thx Z 🙂 its next monday but will celebrate all weekend. I just tried the cranberry, fig 1 and sushi flower its amazing xxx

  1. Simply gorgeous look-love your hair like that also. Will be doing the look for the holidays! Of course won’t look as beautiful, but will give it a shot. Happy thanksgiving to all.

  2. Hi Zabrina! I wear colored contacts and I need to know if you know if the Wet n Wild Black Eyeliner you used melts on the contacts? I have a huge problem with Urban Decay’s 24/7 liners as I love them a lot, but my vision is blurry for the rest of the day after it runs on my contacts.

    1. Hi Myra!
Oh that’s awful about the UD eyeliners! I’ve never tried the W&W pencils, or any pencils for that matter, with my colored contacts so I can’t say for certain there. They are cheap enough to give it a shot! I remember reading somewhere that Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes is REALLY great for contact lens and doesn’t move a bit. I think this would be a great idea for a video; I will have to do some research and let you know my findings! Thank you for the inspiration! 😉

    2. Heya Myra! I did some research and tested 6 different eyeliners with my colored contacts in to see how they performed; the best two were Rimmel (waterproof version) and Stila’s line of waterproof smudgesticks; neither moved a bit and were SUPER strong in pigmentation even after hours of wear.

I did a video demo here of them
and the others, if you’re interested. Thanks again for the inspiration! 😉

You are now my FAVORITE eyeshadow guru!!!! You go above and beyond, my friend – and I truly appreciate that!! Would love to see a video about this – I’m signing up for a membership ASAP!!!

        1. Aw! Thank you! 🙂
If you haven’t seen the video already, the link is hidden in the text in my above message; if you hover over where it says ‘I did a video demo of them here’ it should light up with the link 😉 Thank YOU for inspiring me!

  3. I AM so glad to know it’s not all in my head!!! I LOVE urban decay eyeliners but every time I wear them, my contacts go cloudy. I lost a whole box of contacts a month or so ago before I came to the conclusion that it was the eyeliner. So sad…
