Tarte Tartlette Palette Looks

Can I just take a minute to celebrate my being able to grab one of these little boogers?! Ha! I have been trying to get this palette for the past couple of months, after hearing so many good things and receiving so many requests for it here on the site … and I finally got one! πŸ™‚

This palette has 12 matte eyeshadows in a small, compact case (great for your purse or travel!). Before getting the Tartlette palette I had not tried any of Tarte’s eyeshadows (shocking!), so I was anxious to try them and test their quality. I am pleased to tell you how wonderful this palette is! The eyeshadows are buttery, soft, smooth – heavily pigmented, easy to blend, apply and they last a ridiculously long time after application. If you have been searching for an all matte eyeshadow palette with a great color range, look no further!

The palette has a top row of warm neutrals, a middle row of pink-purple neutrals and a bottom row of cooler neutrals. I like the added middle row of pinky purples and was very happy they chose not to make this an all neutral palette (even though you could consider the pinky purple row more neutral than being bright, bold colors). I didn’t find these eyeshadows to bleed into one another after wearing them all day. It was easy to see where I had applied each color and the first few looks I tried looked just as beautiful at the end of the day as they did at the beginning.

Great quality for the price and one of my new favorites!

  1. Hi Zabrena! I just want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for getting the Tartelette palette. I think it was back in February I asked if you were interested in it because I really wanted to see your creations with this palette and I was a little bummed that you said you might not purchase it. But now here you are and you have no idea how happy and excited this makes me. Really Z, I appreciate it so much that you do this for us and I love you soooooooo much!

  2. I am really glad you got this as well. I got this one instead of the Stila Mind palette (I think that’s the one, not sure) and I am definitely not regretting it. This palette is amazing and for all matte it can def. stand on it’s own but does look pretty when combined with other shadows with satin or shimmer finishes. I’m finding it so universal. I’m really happy with this one.

  3. Hi Z!
I’m so happy that you worked with this palette! I haven’t been able to get my hands on it as of yet, but when I do I will have some ideas as to how to use it on my clients! Thanks so much!

  4. I was lucky to get my hands on the Tartlette palette in late March in my JCPenny’s Sephora, and I have loved it. Thanks for giving me even more inspiration!

  5. Thanks Zabrrena for this great review! I got the palette and am so pleased with it. The colors stay on my oily eyelids (even without a lid primer). and they don’t fade out or change colors. Yay! Thanks so much for the extensive review and the looks that you have created from the colors in this palette.

  6. p.s. Sorry about the double-r. in your name in my post. My fingers are flying all over the place. I know how to spell your name πŸ˜‰

  7. Stunning, Zabrena! Love all of the combos but I particularly like #3. The contrast between the black, brown and lighter shades is really pretty.

Tarte is now available to purchase in the UK via QVC! Yaaaay! I’ve just tried their tinted primer so far (love it!) and am curious to see what their other products are like. I am tempted by the palette but not sure if the shades are too similar to many of my MAC eyeshadows. Will you be doing a dupe list for this palette?

  8. Hi Z! I would also love a Mac dupe list for this tartlette palette if you have the time seeing as you are the queen of eyeshadow! πŸ˜€

  9. This is wonderful Zabrena, thank you! I just purchased this palette and I’m looking so foward to trying different looks.

    1. Hi Marsheilah!
Thanks for asking! I’ve skipped that one as it looked rather boring to me when I checked it out in the store πŸ™ Still love this palette though, so I may need to add more looks to this post sooner than later!

  10. I have no idea how I missed this post! I love this palette. It’s the one I travel with! I can’t wear a lot of shimmer (or satin) shadows now that I’m in my 50’s (gulp…when the heck did that happen?!). So, my NAKED palettes are no longer my “go-to” travel palettes. Thanks for doing these looks! I’ll be referring back to these often.

  11. late to the game, just purchased this one and love it as well. So far only done look 8. Going to try look 3 tomorrow. Thanks Z
