LORAC MegaPRO2 Palette
LORAC’s MegaPRO2 palette is one of the holiday palettes out this year and sold exclusively at Ulta stores. It contains 32 eyeshadows in a sleek, thin palette making it ideal for travel and storage. After the fiasco surrounding last year’s MegaPRO palette, I was really hoping LORAC would step up their game and not make the same mistake. So far, so good! I am very pleased to tell you how much I LOVE this palette. The quality is second to none.
I found the eyeshadows to be so buttery smooth, very easy to blend and effortless in application. Strangely, I feel this is one of the best palettes I have ever experienced from LORAC, including their Pro1 and 2 palettes. I’ve always loved those, but somehow this one tops those in quality! (Never thought that could be possible.) My favorite shades in the palette so far are Cabernet (a gorgeous purple-brown), Melon (light orange, perfect as a transition shade) and Black Ivy (a deep, intense forest green).
if you decide to take the plunge and splurge on anything this holiday season, I hope you’ll consider this palette. It is quite possibly my most favorite holiday palette this year, so far … 🙂

Z, to me, it looks like there are too many light colors and they’re too similar. I’ll be waiting to see your swatches, but it looks like there might not be enough variety to make it worth splurging on. In look #3, is that really how dark Purple is, or did you just apply it very lightly? I don’t mean to be negative, especially since you obviously love the palette, but half of the colors just look so similar. I want some more vibrant color (and I hear that the Jem palette was a bust, what a shame)!

I 100% agree with you Krista, way too many white/cream/highlight shades for me. What a shame, I do love LORAC’s e/s formulas.

I’ve added the swatches (finally!) 🙂 I applied Purple as I normally would in the look you mentioned, but you’re right, it’s not as dark from the pan to the eyes. The light colors, although they look similar, to me, each have a small bit of something extra, like the ones with the pink and lavender sheen. Some of the real light colors I won’t be able to do much with, but I was honestly so happy with the other colors, that didn’t bother me so much with this palette. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I’m trying look number 1. It’s so different and interesting looking but classic. I have this palette and I agree with Zabrena! It’s awesome. Maybe it is just the way the camera is picking up the palette in the picture but the colors are different and there is much more variety in this palette especially when you compare it to the first megapro. I like this one better than the first by far!

I SOOOO wish Lorac was available in Canada. I have the Pro2 palette but had to drive to Buffalo (and stay overnight) to get it, which makes purchasing Lorac (especially now that the Canadian dollar is low) really pricey just to buy an eyeshadow palette!

How does this compare to the Tarte’s Holiday Palette? I love that palette, in fact it is my fav so far!

Hi Tamara! Very comparable in quality. You get a bit more with the Tarte palette in terms of the deluxe mascara sample, a brush, the added smaller palette and blush/bronzer. I feel like they are equal to one another in quality. The color range is more extensive with the LORAC palette, whereas the Tarte palette is more focused on neutrals. 🙂

Love this pallet, but im a darker skin tone (mac nc37) and although this looks beautiful on you, its like I have nothing on. If possible could you do a smoky eye, well smoky for you, normal colors for me. I have lots colors to choose from just not sure which to pair.

I really need to play around with this palette more. I’ve had it since it launched, and it just kind of sits behind my MAC palettes and says “Use me? Today? Maybe? No?!”
There ARE unique colors in here. I’d really like to see a green look from you Z! Maybe closer to the holidays… Those two greens, Forest and Black Ivy are calling out to me though! I have NOTHING else like those in my collection. I’ll keep the palette just for those two shades, I’m a sucker for a good green.
