Urban Decay Vice Ltd Reloaded Palette

The Urban Decay Vice Ltd Reload palette contains 20 eyeshadows that span the past 20 years Urban Decay has been in existence. What I found so amazing with this palette is the inclusion of vintage shades from when they started (Gash, UV-B, Acid Rain). Also included are exclusives from past limited edition palettes like Vice, Vice Ltd. and Book of Shadows Vol. II as well as seven of their best selling single eyeshadows. With this palette, you also get their completely revamped formula, and I for one noticed a remarkable difference. The texture is not what we have been accustomed to with Urban Decay; the eyeshadows are rich and incredibly buttery. There also isn’t a ton of annoying glitter to contend with. The only two shades with glitter in the palette are Oil Slick and Midnight Cowboy. 501 has a small amount also, but it’s not noticeable during application.

I like the variety of colors within this palette and feel it’s one that it’s worth taking a look at, if you have been considering it. My favorite shades from this palette are Midnight Cowboy (always loved it though!), Asphyxia, Freakshow, Laced, Hot Pants and Acid Rain. Although it’s real hard to say those are my favorites because ALL of the colors are fabulous and richly pigmented. I haven’t been this completely happy with a palette from Urban Decay in a long time, so it’s nice to be able to say that!

What do you think of this palette?

  1. Great post Z! Love the color payoff! By the way, the 2nd row colors and 3rd row color are switched therefore the names don’t match. Thought you might want to know… Like always, I love the gorgeous looks you always come up with! 👏🏻

  2. Great post Z! Love the color payoff of these eyeshadows! A surprise indeed, considering the last few palettes from UD. By the way, the 2nd row swatches and 3rd row swatches are switched, therefore the names don’t match. (Thought you might want to know…) Like always, I love the gorgeous looks you always come up with! 👏🏻

  3. You have the labels for 501 and Smog reversed on the swatches. 👓

Enjoying the Snaps with your new kitty. It was nice to see Inky so playful, too.

  4. So glad to see a post on this palette! I got it from Ulta when it was on pre-sale about a month ago, and I haven’t even used it yet… I’m excited to have Gash and a backup of Acid Rain in this palette though, that’s the two reasons I justified buying it!

  5. Thanks for your post! I love this palette!! I had not gotten any of the holiday palettes because they were so similar to everything I already have, so I was super excited to see this one come out!
I totally agree with you on the new texture and formula! I also love that there is a good range of color and neutrals, yet all of them are easily worn day to day as well as for special occasions. This is the perfect palette to pack for travel!

  6. Thanks for these looks. I got this palette about a month ago and have not used it yet, but now I have no excuses. Love the kitty name Mikko and the meaning behind the name. God Bless

  7. I wonder if this will be available at Sephora, which will mean we “Janie Canucks” can get it! I think I would love to purchase this beauty.

Zabrena, on an entirely separate note, where is Karah? I hope it’s okay to ask this. She used to be such a regular contributor and she’s a moderator on the site forums as well (and I have to say, I’m kinda sad that so few people use that forum….what a great spot for discussing our various makeup interests, obsessions and fixations!). Anyway, I don’t mean to pry and I hope she’s okay but I’ve been wondering about her for a while now. Feel free to tell me to mind my own beeswax but I was just concerned about her. It’s funny how you feel you “know” people after chatting with them on a web site.

    1. I hope it will be because it’s a real beauty of a palette! 🙂
So sweet of you to ask about her! She’s been having some health issues and a close member of her family passed very recently also. It’s been real hard on her. I know she’ll appreciate that you asked about her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers 🙂

      1. Thanks, Z, for the info on Karah. If you’re in touch with her, please pass along my good wishes and condolences too on the loss of the family member. I’ll be thinking positive, good thoughts for her.

  8. Just for fun, I recreated look #4 with products I already had:

    Ivy garden from Mary Kay
The third shade from the Spring Moss quad by Revlon
The third shade from the Priceless Metals quad by Revlon
    Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Teal

I think all those Revlon products are discontinued, I bought them all a long time ago and am trying to use them up.
