Meet Matt(e) Trimony Palette

The Meet Matt(e) Trimony (cute play on words, right?) is an all matte eyeshadow palette from the Balm Cosmetics with 9 neutral toned eyeshadows. Each eyeshadow has rich pigmentation, applies easily, lasts throughout the day and blends easily. While I have been disappointed in some of the Balm’s eyeshadow palettes in the past, their line of matte palettes never disappoint. If you’re looking for a new one to try, that has a bit more color than the other matte neutral palettes out there, this is a great one!

  1. I’m a shimmer lover so this palette has limited appeal for me. It’s funny – looking through the looks you did (all of them stunning, I might add), I got excited by 2 of them and 2 of the shadows. When I looked at the descriptions, I had to laugh – ABH Pink Champagne and Stila Kitten were the 2 that caught my interest!!!! See what mean? I’m such a magpie!

  2. I have this palette and I love it, too! I’m so impressed with the purple shadow (Matt Moskowitz) in particular – it’s so hard to find a pigmented matte purple that’s flattering and will blend easily. Of all the Balm palettes, I think both matte ones are worth the money. I use Meet Matt(e) Nude just as much!

  3. I love the natural looks you have come up with using this palette. Do you think the palette would work for someone with sun damaged skin (lots of eye wrinkles)? I know shimmer can often look bad and make wrinkles more pronounced, so I thought I would ask.

  4. I love all three of the meet matte palettes. Not a big fan of theBalm’s shimmer shadows, but their mattes are first rate. Their blushes and highlighters are top notch, too, and the Bahama Mama bronzer is cool enough to contour with. I think this is an underrated line!

  5. I agree with you Stephanie! The Balm is underrated- I love the balm desert blush/bronzer- it is one of my all time favorites. I just like that it adds color to the face when I’m in a rush and have to chose between a bronzer and a blush- this one is a one and done for me because it acts as both and I don’t have to be that precise. I was not a huge fan of the first Meet Matte palette though- great quality- but I never seemed to reach for it. This one is definitely more appealing. BTW Z mentioned a dupe for Stila Kitten eye shadow (maybe drugstore version) but I can’t seem to remember what it is- if anyone knows please let me know!

  6. Any chance of providing Mac dupes for this palette? I have invested in my Mac collection since the pro refill price went down to $. One of my goals is to increase the use of my over 80 Mac eyeshadows. Thanks for your great reviews and combinations.
