LORAC has come out with a new palette: Pro 3! This has 16 eyeshadows, with the top row being matte and the bottom row all shimmer, just like they did with their last two Pro palettes. The shades are rosy-toned neutrals and when I first saw this palette, I got excited. Sadly, it did not meet my expectations based on the previous two Pro palettes LORAC has put out. I have been using this over the past week, and not only are the eyeshadows nowhere near as pigmented as past LORAC palettes, but the colors fade on the eyes throughout the day. SO disappointing, especially at this price point.
If you ever had the opportunity to try the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty palette, the Pro3 reminds me a LOT of it. The eyeshadows are more powdery in this one and if you do want greater pigmentation, you have to apply the eyeshadows wet. Even with that method, the color in the pan doesn’t translate to the eyes for most of the shades. I wanted to love this so badly and if the shades looked on the eyes, as they do in the pan, I would have. I honestly prefer my Unzipped palette over this one, in terms of quality; and those are more of the rosy toned neutrals I prefer, not these.
Have you tried this palette? What do you think of it?

I really thought I’d love it. Sadly, I did not but luckily Ulta took the return. You did a far better look than I did!

Wow, how disappointing, as I was drooling over it when I first saw it was coming out! You’re right, a lot of the shimmer swatches look nothing like what it does in the pan. Thank you for your review and for saving me some money. I LOVE my Unzipped palette too, so I’ll stick to that as well 🙂

I had been playing with this one since I got it and thought it was just me and how I was applying them as to why they just didn[‘t look right on the eyes. Major bummer. Thank-you Zabrena for an excellent review and the always lovly looks you create! Love you!!

Thank you for your honest review. I was debating on getting this palette. I’ll just stick with the LORAC unzipped and UD Naked 3 palettes for rosy-toned neutral looks.

I love all the looks you did with these colors. It does remind me of the It Cosmetics colors but the looks you created with it have swayed me to at least go see the palette in person.

I actually bought this palette and I was actually pleased by how much I paid for it, gotta love those Ulta points. I used the tarte eye primer due to the fact that I have oily lids. I feel that if you didn’t care for the pigmentation of the first two then the lighter ones are something for you to try.

So glad I read this before spending the cash. I opted for the ABH over this one glad I did. Thanks Z

Good to know ahead of time that this one’s not up to par, though a few of the shades are those I don’t like anyway. I won’t make a special trip out of my way to ULTA (I’m going to NYC in a few days and the nearest ULTA is in Newark NJ). Zabrena, is there going to be a June (or July) “Giveaway”? I haven’t noticed any mention of it and I’m wondering if I’ve missed it.

You saved my pocket book again! I’d be (even more) broke without you dear! 🙂

I feel like I have all these colors or something that could pass within my MAC shadows or pigment collection. Thank you fur the review, I always enjoy. xoxo

Zabrena, I’ve noticed that you don’t list your blending shade, so what have you been using?
Zabrena
Hi Carla! I stopped listing it because it’s always the same LOL 😉 MAC’s Blanc Type!
