Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette

First time trying one of these palettes that everyone is raving about! There are 20 eyeshadows in a mixture of mattes and shimmers and I couldn’t help but drool over the shades in this one. How gorgeous are these?! I wasn’t sure what to expect not ever having tried this brand before. I was hoping it wasn’t going to be like the BH Cosmetics palettes, which can be hit or miss. Surprisingly, it’s really AMAZING! Every eyeshadow in this palette is super pigmented, easy to work with and I didn’t have to apply any of these eyeshadows wet. The shimmer finishes remind me a lot of MakeupGeek’s foiled formula, very soft and a small amount needed in application. Given the price, size of the eyeshadows, quality of pigment and application, this is definitely a winner in my book. I can’t wait to try more of these palettes!

What do you think of the Violet Voss palettes?

  1. Hey Z, if I had the ABH Modern Renaissance pallet would it make sense to get this one as well? Thanks!
    K.

  2. So glad you gave this a thumb’s up since I bought it. Always makes me a little nervous about purchasing a palette without the Z stamp of approval!! Awesome looks!!!

  3. I’ve never even heard of this brand before. I think she stole the “Thanks a Latte” name (Benefit has a shadow of that name!). Overall, it looks a bit warm for me but it sure does include a lot to choose from. Are her products only available online or are they carried in some stores?

  4. I love wearing “How U Doin” on the inner half of lid with ” On Fleek” on the outer and mixing “Wine n Dine” with “Glamping in the crease and layering “Wine n dine” and “Cranberry Splash” over black pencil liner. It adds a lot of sass to a cutesy sundress.

This is literally my new favorite palette. (I actually bought a backup, which I NEVER, EVER do) It could have used a matte highlight shade, but I can’t even complain because every shade here is gorgeous.

  5. I just received my Violet Voss X Laura Lee pallet and so far the colors I used are buttery, no fallout to speak of, and highly pigmented. Another plus on this pallet it has your basic shades also so you don’t have to “pallet hop” everything is there. I was wondering about the other Violet Voss pallets so thank you so much for reporting in on the Holy Grail!

  6. I feel so relieved knowing you like this palette. I ordered it this morning in an outburst (because I can’t get the ABH Modern Renaissance in my country, and this looked similar to my eyes) and I was worried about the quality and the pigmentation. Now I feel better, thanks!

  7. This one is way too warm for me but I had to laugh about the colour Glamping because my daughter just went Glamping for the first time last weekend. Sounds like MY kinda camping – real beds, nice bathroom facilities and private showers that are open to the sky. Oh, and ziplining AND 2 gourmet dinners and tastings at local wineries! I could really get into that.

  8. Just bought this palette today & it’s so pretty. Can’t wait to try some of your looks Z, esp look # 1. Hope to see more looks with this palette. 😉
