Fall Eyeshadow Looks to Try!

Hi everyone and Happy September to you! 🙂

You know what that means … FALL MAKEUP is back! I wanted to put together a post of a few looks you could try for this fall season. The “trend” for 2016 is copper eyeshadow, and while I LOVE copper eyeshadows, I’ve not really been one to follow what’s trending. I’m more about “do what makes you feel confident”! So I included a lot of looks that would work well for this time of year, and I’ll be adding more throughout the season to this post, too! If you’re looking for more inspiration for your Fall looks, I’d also recommend looking at the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette post, as well as Anastasia’s Modern Renaissance palette looks. What are your favorite fall eyeshadow colors?

Look #1

Eyeshadows used:

  • MAC Brown Script (crease)
  • MAC Rule (outer half of lid and blended into Brown Script)
  • MAC All That Glitters (inner half of lid)

  1. Beautiful eye looks! I especially like the first and last ones. I don’t have season-related makeup faves but, push come to shove, I suppose smokey greens and deep golden eyeshadows might fit the bill! 🙃

  2. Looks 4 & 5 are my favorites. All of these looks are stunning! Thank you for all the work you put into bring these looks to us.

  3. My favorite is Teal–no surprise, but plum and cranberry are also lovely. Thank-you for all of your hard work the looks are wonderful!!

  4. A favourite for me is actually a summer quad – Chanel’s Empreinte du Desert quad. It’s lovely golden and bronze and brown with a sort of seafoam green thrown in and it was perfect for summer but it’s even more perfect for fall. I’ve also dug MAC Twinks out of hiding and I’m really enjoying using again after so long a time buried in a drawer. Z, what do you think about MAC’s stupid move of discontinuing the Matte2 shadows (yes, our beloved Blanc Type as well as Typographic and Copperplate….what a stupid move and I wish I’d known ahead of time so I could have bought a backup of Blanc Type and also of Handwritten).

    1. Ah! I remember Twinks being one of your favorites! I did that recently with Amber Lights, old fav! Ugh, I am so disgusted honestly by their discontinuation choices here lately, especially the Matte2 line. They were so smooth, creamy, some of the easiest mattes to work with! I’m becoming more disenchanted with MAC, personally. 🙁

  5. Hi, Zabrena. My name is Misty. I have dark hazel eyes, and I was looking for a look like this to see if it would make the green in my eyes pop more. They usually look just brown. I find that reds make the green pop, like golds do, but I can’t find a look like this with reds that don’t make me look like I’m sick or have allergies or something crazy. LOL. Do you have any suggestions?

  6. Wow. Those are all lovely looks especially the fourth one. It could be because green is my favorite color, but I’m pretty impressed with the color combinations there. Anyway, I may not already own many of these eyeshadows you’ve mentioned but I should find close dupes in my collection…maybe. I just love recreating eye looks from photos.
